Owner of bambino art photography Ines Lapic is a self-taught photographer that had the Honor of photographing hundreds of families all across Australia.

Originally from Bosnia she was born into a family of artists. Her father being an award winning artist whose work was exhibited throughout Europe. Her passion for photography was started by her grandfather at around 7 years of age by using her grandfather’s old Laica camera.They manually developed the shots together in a makeshift darkroom and those original results were the catalyst that inspired her journey from childhood wonder to the multi published award winning photographer that she is today.

With her family she relocated to Italy, where Ines had the opportunity to study art at the Don l Milani  in Rome for 3.5 years during her teenage years.

Ines arrived in Australia at around 15 years old and, although over time her interest gravitated to the field of graphic design and art, she never lost the desire for photography.

Not long after the birth of her two wonderful children she started focusing on children’s and family lifestyle photography. The children and babies love her warm and caring approach and with her unique style she was able to capture the truly beautiful innocence and naivety of the child inside and this rekindled her true passion.

Ines is very patient and particular and takes an enormous amount of pride in each and every assignment she undertakes. She is a happy, carefree person and has the unique ability to make everyone she works with feel comfortable and at ease. She has a very good eye for detail and has a knack for capturing spontaneous images, full off laughter, love, emotion and whimsy.

i love what i do, taking children’s photos is not just about getting them to sit still while you snap away with your camera it’s about letting them be who they are and capturing that split second of their character, one second that can never be repeated again preserved in time.

To really grasp them, in their element, and get more than just a smile can sometimes be a work of patience, cleverness and quick wits.

After every session with a child or baby i learn little bit more about these little humans that are just so full of life

Ines likes to be involved in the whole process, from consulting with the clients, taking the shot, processing it, and returning the finished product back to the clients where the expression on their faces gives her enormous satisfaction and makes it all worthwhile.
